We are always looking for people who would like to volunteer for us. Currently we are looking for volunteers with the following skills and interests:
Media & Communications Volunteer
We run a website, social media platforms and a monthly newsletter. We are looking for someone with WordPress and/or MailChimp skills to help us with the website and newsletter. We also need help with the social media accounts. Technical knowledge and interest in content writing would be ideal. The time commitment would be 2-4 hours per week.
We have a lock-up set up as a shop where refugees can browse for what they need (clothing, bedding, household goods etc). We need a volunteer with a large estate car or van to collect and deliver donations and to keep the “shop” in order. You would also be involved in ordering and delivering toiletries from InKind Direct to the Drop-In centre. The time commitment would be 1 day a week. The role could also invole selling designer clothing donations on eBay to help raise funds.
We are looking for Arabic speakers who can help with translating and befriending. DBS check essential.

We have written a guide to the borough for refugees. It includes information about local services, transport and other national services. This has been translated into Arabic and other languages. We need funding to print these.
