Wonderful to see our Hammersmith council sharing the film that we made. The message in the film is a call-out to private landlords to offer self contained flats to the council to rent to Syrian refugees. Landlords will be paid Housing Benefit rates. Finding accommodation first is the ONLY way of getting Syrians out of awful camps surrounding the country. Once the council has approved the property a Syrian family can be brought over in as little as 6 weeks. Councils all over the city and the UK are taking part in the Syrian Resettlement Scheme so if you have a property or know someone who does get in touch with the housing department of your council. or contact us for more info.
